Day Trip to Marmot Basin | We Found The Good Snow!

Описание: Skiing at Marmot Basin on an early March day trip from Edmonton.

I headed out on an early morning day trip to Jasper with a friend who was in Edmonton this winter from Utah. Before she headed home, I wanted to make sure she had the chance to ski in Jasper and experience one of my favourite mountains in Alberta.

We left early and made the mandatory stop at Bear's Paw Bakery for coffee and cinnamon buns before heading up to the hill.

The day before had been extremely windy, and with very little new snow on the mountain there were quite a few areas where the wind had blown the snow right off the top of the mountain (not ideal). But once we started exploring we did find some runs protected from the wind and discovered some really great snow! We ended up lapping those runs and found some good pillowy snow and had the best time!

After a full day of skiing and enjoying the mountain views, we packed up and made the drive back to Edmonton.
