Presented by #NoFilter, “Rule No. 1” is a documentary by journalist Jeff Canoy that features the inspiring love story of Emilson Gole Cruz and Kathleen Añonuevo. It was love at first sight for college sweethearts Kathleen and Emil. But after graduating and finding work abroad, the couple faced their first true test: maintaining a connection in a long-distance relationship. Through their fights, they would always go back to the one rule they had to follow in their relationship: Never break up.
In 2019, the couple became engaged but were faced with another adversity after Kathleen was diagnosed with leukemia. Their one rule in their relationship will once again be tested.
