Описание: This clock has been offered for sale on eBay (March 2022 same title “86 Antique Victorian French Slate Single Train Mantle Clock”) and I have left it posted on YouTube as an summary, illustrating my working on and restoring, to the best of my ability, old broken pendulum clocks. Also on YouTube this clock “Antique Slate Clock 86” (Pt 1 -9) 9 additional videos. This summary video takes the observer thru most of the process of restoration in short clips and could be useful to those new to restoration of slate clocks. The work on this clock amounted to about 60 hrs over 4 weeks or so. These Slate Clocks are really wonderful examples of yester-years craftsmen’s skills and I feel they deserve a bit of loving care and attention in to-day’s world of throw-away consumerism. So, having taken this clock under my wing I believe that it may now survive for posterity.
