Описание: Café-au-lait spots or Café-au-lait macules, they are brown spots ad they are present since birth. they might increase gradually, you might have couple of them. It is absolutely normal to have them. If they are more, then we have to think of any genetic disorders. Café-au-lait macules, they are giant melanosomes. Melanosomes are the organelles where the melanin is stored. So in Café-au-lait macules they are really large and that’s why it needs treatment. As regards the treatment, the Q switched Nd-Yag laser helps definitely. What happens is the laser light is absorbed by the melanosomes, they are broken up and the skin’s or the body’s macrophages engulf the broken down melanosomes, and the pigment or the darkening of the skin may get improved. But it may not give 100% improvement. Definitely some amount of lightening will be there with the Q switched Nd-Yag laser and you might need multiple treatments for the same.
