The observation and the expectation match very well.

Flat earthers claim that the horizon is "always at eye level", which is, of course, not true. Independent measurements clearly prove the drop of the horizon:

The white cross indicates the eye level; the horizon is clearly below. Again, the overlaid expectation matches very well with the observation.

In their "experiments", flat earthers ignore atmospheric refraction, which tends to increase the maximum viewing range. This is a well-known effect. And no, the curvature has nothing to do with perspective or "atmospheric lensing", as some flat earthers say. In fact, all flat earth videos regarding "atmospheric lensing" are frauds, since they always look through the lower part of their magnifying glass, where they should look through the upper part in order to simulate atmospheric refraction.
