SUMMARY:
The goal of this Hearthstone Control Deck / Hearthstone Quest Deck is very simple: Use the new The Forbidden Sequence quest from Lost City of Ungoro to get The Origin Stone and use it to revive Exodia Mage to OBLITERATE our opponent! To accomplish this goal very simply we run tons of Discover effects in our deck such as Scrappy Scavenger, Hidden Objects, Infinitize the Maxitude, Rewind, Tidepool Pupil, Vast Wisdom, Card Grader, Tide Pools, Griftah Trusted Vendor, Nightmare Lord Xavius, and Pocket Dimension. Since we're a good Mage deck in a Highlander shell we run some of the best stalling, control, and overall best individual cards that Highlander Mage has to offer such as Costumed Singer, Devolving Missiles, Sir Finley Sea Guide, Ancient Mysteries, Dirty Rat, Heat Wave, Stargazing, Zephrys the Great, Frost Nova, Ice Block, Objection, Solid Alibi, Inquisitive Creation, Lorekeeper Polkelt, Varden Dawngrasp, Mes'Adune the Fractured, Sleet Skater, Bob the Bartender, Coldarra Drake, Reno Jackson, Theotar the Mad Duke, and of course Reno Lone Ranger as our absolute top end. This deck is likely the most solid version of Exodia as a deck and has quite a few interesting little ways to get there.

One of the most interesting pieces of tech is that we ALSO run Open the Waygate and just toss it away at the start of the game, so we run two Quests. This is to have a guaranteed way to get around Ice Block in case we can't find Zephrys (or he misbehaves).

There are two forms of Exodia in this deck: You either complete the Quest and use ETC Band Manager with Tae'thelan Bloodwatcher, Archmage Antonidas, and Thaddius Monstrosity inside of it with a Reverberations or a Buy One Get One Freeze in your deck, OR you just use the typical Reno Mage scam of Reno Lone Ranger's refresh 2 Mana and deal 2 damage hero power alongside Coldarra Drake.
