Dotzauer Etude No. 56
Al fin! Fue uno de los estudios que más me costó grabar. Tres días me senté a tocar y lo que grabé no me convenció: muchos errores, mala ubicación del micrófono, etc. La última vez salió bien y me decidí a subirlo así que acá está!
Un poco me hace acordar a Bach, pero no al Bach que componía para instrumentos de arco. El tema y algunos pasajes cromáticos del estudio me recuerdan a las fugas para teclado como las del Clave Bien Temperado, ese Bach experimental que jugaba con alteraciones, modulaciones y disonancias sorprendentes. Fuera de eso, me pareció un estudio difícil, una cascada de notas interminable pero hermosa que me costó tanto de tocar como me gustó. A seguir tocando!

Finally! It took me ages to record this piece. Three days I sat and tried: many mistakes, bad mic placing, etc. The fourth was when this version was recorded, sounded pretty decent so decided to upload it.
This etude reminds me of Bach, not the one that writes for bowed instruments. The chromatic theme and passages remind me of the keyboard fugues like the ones in the Well Tempered Clavier, that experimental Bach who played with incredible accidentals, modulations and dissonances. Anyways, I found this Etude to be as difficult as it is beautiful, a never ending but amazing waterfall of notes. Time to keep playing!
