People who expect this animation to be historically accurate will be disappointed. The movie plays with the idea of 'What if'. What if Anastasia survive during the Russian Revolution?
If you can pass that idea and just following the story, you will be delighted by wonderful animation and songs.

All of the songs in this movie is very good. At least 3 songs perhaps that people will be familiar with: #JourneyToThePast (nominated at the Oscar), #OnceUponADecember, and At the Beginning. Except the last one, both songs appears and performed during the movie.

At the Beginning was one of my favorite songs and it still is until now. Performed really well by Donna Lewis and Richard Marx. To date, this is their last chart hit single, but who cares? For me the song still stands of time and can be included as a classic. Since I love the song so much and the movie, why not making the FMV for the song? And here it is.

If you haven't watched this movie or listened to the soundtrack album, I think you should give it a try.
