This is Lesson 7, Part1 in our AAPC® CIC® Prep Class! This class is intended for medical coders and/or nurses who are interested in learning inpatient coding.
In this lesson, we will discuss the chapter-specific coding guidelines for chapters 5 of the ICD-10-CM code book, as well as common diagnoses in the mental, behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders.
The information contained in this chapter is meant as a supplement, and is not intended to replace the official coding guidelines found in the ICD-10-CM code book. It is important to read and understand every guideline and convention found in ICD-10-CM.
Objectives
In completing this chapter, your objectives are to:
