In this video, I’ll show you step by step how to:

Locate the faulty actuator in a 2014 Chevy Equinox (same for 2010–2017 models)
Remove the old actuator and stop the annoying clicking sound
Install the new actuator and restore full control of hot/cold airflow

This part is responsible for switching between hot and cold air. When it fails, you may hear a constant clicking/tapping or lose the ability to change temperature settings entirely. Replacing it yourself can save you $150–300 in labor at a shop, and the job usually takes less than an hour with basic hand tools.

This guide applies to Chevy Equinox 2010–2017 and may also be similar on GMC Terrain models of the same years.
