Taken from his Mayday 2002 liveset, this short sample features Paul van Dyk's unreleased remix of The Modifiers - 'Take Me Higher'
It generated a large amount of interest on internet forums with people attempting to identify what had been remixed. In an interview PvD eventually on the record to say that it was a remix of an old track they couldn't release due to not knowing the origin of the sample.
The truth is that PvD had approached the producer DJ Lace in Vancouver in the mid 90's and expressed his wish to license the record back then ... at around the same time Interscope offered DJ Lace a full album deal, which he went with, so unfortunately the Paul van Dyk remix fell through. The 'unknown' sample is also taken from Tramaine Hawkins - 'The Rock'
