Matthew Merrins, PhD, Assistant Professor, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the UW-Madison Department of Medicine presents a scientific update on links between diabetes and aging. Dr. Merrin's research program focuses on nutrient metabolism in pancreatic islet beta cells. The title of his October 7, 2016 Grand Rounds talk is "The Roles Reverse in a Basic Science Lab: Aged Mice Propose to Stop Diabetes in Humans."
