So, as all ya'll know, I am a recorder player. Being a recorder player ain't an easy life. People don't take you seriously. People make fun of you. People are mean. People don't know we have to fight fate every single step of the way. That we are warriors. That we are the ultimate survivors. Well, maybe not all that, but we are kinda cool. People are unaware that, one day, we will rule the world, and when we do, there won't be a place left on earth for them to hide.
One of the many obstacles in our tumultuous paths is the lack of original literature. Cunning as we are, we have developed high tech methods of our very own; "transposition" being the en vogue word. Stealing literature being the dysphemism. That is slander. It's not stealing, it's naked survival. Gotta be the toughest kid on the block. So, without further ado, straight out of Diego Ortiz's Tratado de Glosas for gamba, the Recercada primera and segunda... on the recorder.
