As part of the ongoing probe, a team from the Ayodhya Development Authority surveyed the under-construction house of accused Lavkush Mishra in Sahadatganj. Officials are preparing to issue a notice after assessing the property. According to police sources, legal opinion is also being sought on initiating proceedings under the Gangster Act, as investigators believe the available evidence may support action under organized crime provisions.

The case first came to light after alleged irregularities in the handling of temple donations were detected. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) later conducted an extensive inquiry, leading to the registration of an FIR and the arrest of eight accused. Investigators have also reported shortcomings in donation management, record-keeping, and internal oversight. While the investigation is still ongoing and the legal process will determine individual culpability, the case has intensified scrutiny over transparency, accountability, and security mechanisms governing donations at one of India's most significant religious institutions.
