At Maersk, working towards a more gender balanced fleet is an important priority. In recent years, we have therefore taken important steps and launched initiatives to support the recruitment and retention of female seafarers. At the same time, we are continuously working to create a psychologically safe and inclusive working environment – at sea as well as onshore.
Our Chief Infrastructure Officer, Rabab Boulos, met with 2nd Officer Christina Andersson onboard Madrid Maersk. Together, they talked about Christina’s experiences as a female seafarer in Maersk.
