Beim Bettmerhorn beginnt dann der UNESCO Höhenweg, der ein Highlights der Aletsch Arena ist. Nun folgt der schweirigste Teil der Wanderung entlang des Gratrückens. Etwa 1,5 km geht es über die Gratkante, wobei einige Stellen mir Steighilfen und Stahlseilen gesichert sind. Mit einer Seehöhe zwischen 2.633 m und 2.863 m gehört die Wanderung zu den 10 höchstgelegenen in der Schweiz mit ständigem Blick auf den beeindruckenden Aletschgletscher. Die Wanderung ist fantastisch, aber auch anspruchsvoll und erfordert Trittsicherheit sowie Schwindelfreiheit.

From this panoramic summit, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Great Aletsch Glacier, the Rhone Valley, and the many four-thousand-meter peaks in Valais.
The UNESCO High Trail, one of the highlights of the Aletsch Arena, begins at Bettmerhorn. Now comes the most difficult part of the hike along the ridge. It's about 1.5 km along the ridge, with some sections secured with climbing aids and steel cables. With an altitude between 2,633 m and 2,863 m, this hike is one of the 10 highest in Switzerland, offering constant views of the impressive Aletsch Glacier. The hike is fantastic, but also challenging and requires sure-footedness and a head for heights.
