On Thursday, November 1st, 2012, the West Toronto Junction Historical Society (WTJHS) hosted a debate on the future of the Monarchy in Canada. The Moderator for the evening was 2 time Governor General's Award winner Christopher Moore. Speaking in favour of the motion to abolish the Monarchy was Tom Freda of the Citizens for a Canadian Republic. Speaking against the motion was Neil Ross, current President of the WTJHS.
