Ingredients
1 cup chickpea flour (gram flour/besan)
Salt
Oil (as required)
1/4 cup water (to knead the dough)
Water (to cook noodles in)
Method
Add salt to the chickpea flour and knead it into a dough adding little water at a time. I used 1/4 cup and 1 tsp water.
Add about 1 tsp oil to the flour while kneading the dough. Add about another tsp oil after the dough is formed into a ball so it doesn't stick to the palm.
Fill the dough in a murukku press. Use the medium sized noodles press. Keep it ready.
In another pot bring water to a boil. Add about 1 tsp oil to the water. When the water is boiling, press the dough in the water, directly.
Wait till the noodles are cooked. When they are cooked, they will float on top. Remove them.
Noodles are now ready.
