Dunlough Castle or Three Castle Head: Unique In Ireland!

Описание: Dunlough Castle is also known as Three Castle Head. This castle not well-known, but it's a mystery why. I found it just mesmerizing and astonishing beautiful to visit. The ruins of this castle stand on the top of the cliffs at the northern tip of the Mizen Peninsula in Ireland. It looks at the Atlantic Ocean from the extreme southwest point. It connects Three Castles Head and was founded in 1207 by Donagh O’Mahony. Dunlough Castle, also known as Dunlough Fort, is one of the oldest castles in southern Ireland.

It is easy to visit on a 20 minute walk on private land. There's a donation box for maintaining the path and castle. You'll pass sheep and see the ocean from above. The castle has a series of three fortified towers, most of them are in good shape. It lies next to a lake and with some luck you can see sea fog. Which adds to the atmosphere.
