Kandy Krush Java is a casual puzzle game released by DC Soft in 2016. The game is for the Thomson TO7 / MO5 series of computers and was written by Daniel Coulom.
This game gives you 32 turns to make as many points as possible by lining up coloured counters. You need to make groups of three in a row of the same colour. The counters are laid out in an 8 x 7 grid, and you have a marker that can be moved between them. When ready, you can swap the positions of the two counters either side of your marker. The game will only allow you to make a swap if it creates at least one group of three counters with the same colour. The counters then disappear allowing the other counters to fall down, being replaced at the top. It is possible to generate cascades of multiple triplets for maximum points, the same as other games in this style.
This is a fun puzzle game. I played it far more times than I expected to. It has an addictive quality and is an ideal 'breaktime' game. Having only 32 turns means you know games will be short and your objective is to try and calculate how each turn will achieve maximum points.
This run was made on the 7th March 2026. The game was played on a Thomson TO8, using the DCMOTO emulator. The final score was 951 points.
