Kodiak Orange Diervilla Shrub in Spring Landscape

This shrub is in FULL SUN in my Ohio landscape. The color show begins in late March when the new growth begins. It doesn’t seem to be affected by the drastic temperature changes we have been getting in my area. Gorgeous light orange – peach like leaves with spring snow, ice and then sunshine.

The Kodiak Orange Diervilla will grow to be 4-5 feet tall and wide. It also performs well in shade as you can see in my video in this shot. This is the the time of year I will mulch and add a little fertilizer at the base of the shrub.

It is so nice to look out from my home to the landscape and see this burst of peach / orange color come snow, rain or shine. The shrub comes to life way before the Bald Cypress in my landscape and most of the other early color.

Super easy to care for shrub that does well in most any soil conditions. Mine are growing in a loomy location and another in clay / very dry landscape of my property. This is a flowering shrub by Proven Winners Color Choice.
