My name is Nasir Kasana, and I run this YouTube channel titled “Ik Pind Punjab Da.”
This channel is dedicated to documenting the first-hand eyewitness stories of the 1947 Partition.
For this purpose, I travel across the entire Pakistani Punjab, meeting people who either:
witnessed the migration from Pakistani Punjab to Indian Punjab, or
migrated from Indian Punjab to Pakistani Punjab themselves.

Over time, I have recorded hundreds of these personal accounts, many of which have become widely appreciated and emotionally impactful. Through these narratives, I aim to present a new, authentic dimension of history — a perspective often absent in textbooks. These eyewitness stories serve as a valuable resource for historical research, offering a human connection that written records alone cannot provide.

Through this channel, numerous long-lost families have been reconnected, many after decades of separation. The stories shared here have helped bring people from both sides of Punjab closer, clearing misconceptions and dissolving hostility that was inherited from political propaganda or ideological narratives.

My mission is to show the people of both Punjabs that:
neither side was the enemy,
both were victims of the political and religious extremism of that time, and
compassion, understanding, and shared humanity are the true lessons of 1947.

This channel has become a bridge of love between Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, and other minority communities, promoting peace, respect, and a better understanding of our shared past.
