Subordinating conjunctions. Subordinating conjunctions are words that connect two clauses, making one clause dependent on the other. They introduce subordinate (or dependent) clauses, which cannot stand alone as complete sentences.
There are many subordinating conjunctions. But today, we will see five of the most common conjunctions.
