PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) – Wednesday is another step in the rebirth of Price Hill's “Incline District.”
Mayor John Cranley will join community activists for a ceremony to celebrate positive changes.
It is a really unique concept.
Zoning allows entrepreneurs, but because of the live/work environment they can't post hours. However, they can have people in by appointment.
Nearby there are several new businesses including Block Coffee and Somm Wine Bar.
Like many of Cincinnati’s other older neighborhoods, the idea is to reinvent the community and draw young people back to the city.
“What I'm excited about in the Incline District is that this was a working class community when it started, it's still a working class community and it's going to be a working class community,” said Bill Burwinkel of KB Partners. “That's why we're bringing this product on the market on Grand Row, is we want to attract these young entrepreneurs that'll come and invest in the community. They will live, work and play here.”
Bill’s company, KB Partners, has been instrumental in this project.
He says the revitalization is already working. Property values in the Incline District have increased 25 to 30 percent in the last year.
KB Partners is working with “Price Hill Will” a non-profit that's helping to redevelop the community.
