Does the Bible contradict itself? So, what is a Bible contradiction and how can we know when a contradiction is not really a contradiction? Our study will look verses that refer to different persons or things, passages that involve different time elements, verses that employ phraseology in a different sense, opposites are not necessarily contradictions and supplementation is not a contradiction. Many contradictions are simply a result of poor Bible study, lack of knowledge, or simply a mistake. Let us search the scriptures diligently so we will rightly divide them. 2 Timothy 2:15
