In this session, we are moving beyond just writing data and looking at how our program communicates with the user. I will introduce you to C++ Input/Output (I/O) using `std::cout` for character output and `std::cin` for character input. We will break down what those "carrots" (stream operators) actually do and discuss the pros and cons of using `using namespace std`. I’ll also explain why we generally avoid placing that line in our header files as our projects grow in complexity.
Part of a series focusing on how to program games in C++ for Unreal.
Developed for my Game Programming class, these videos serve to provide a basic understanding of working within the Unreal Engine in order to introduce more advanced techniques later on.
