After securing my 60-day China visa, it's time to hit the road again! The plan: an epic cycling journey from Hanoi, Vietnam to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, crossing through the breathtaking landscapes of China.
I left Hanoi early in the morning to avoid the infamous traffic jams. The ride started with light rain, but that didn’t dampen the excitement of being back on the road. Riding along the Red River, I was greeted by friendly locals who waved and smiled as I passed by. One kind soul even offered me a warm cup of tea—a small yet memorable moment of connection.
The entire day was filled with awe-inspiring views of northern Vietnam's landscapes, with lush greenery, misty mountains, and peaceful villages lining the route to Lao Cai. Despite the rain, the scenery made every pedal worth it.
As the day came to an end, I encountered incredibly generous Vietnamese locals who offered me shelter and a delicious homemade meal. Their kindness turned a tiring day into a heartwarming experience.
This is just the beginning of my journey to Mongolia. Stay tuned as I continue cycling through Vietnam and cross into China!
