I am thrilled to announce that I have written and illustrated my first dummy children's book! It's based on a collection of letters from when I was a child, and illustrated by had using coloured pencil.
I am incredibly excited to be able to share this very personal project with you - It has been a long time in coming, and is extremely important to me.
I will be looking for a publisher from September 2020, so wish me luck!
In this video, I talk about some of the hurdles I overcame when writing and illustrating the book. I also mention some of the technical skills I used to make life easier when putting the book together, and give a small look at some of the illustrations produced.
The creation of this book also formed the Final Major Project of my Illustration MA (online) with Falmouth University. As the first cohort ever to graduate from the MA, the completion of this book and my MA Illustration course also offered me the chance to look back at how far I've come in my illustration journey.
