Mohammad Haris' blistering maiden T20I century led Pakistan to a dominant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I in Lahore, sealing a 3-0 series whitewash. Chasing 197, Pakistan reached the target with 2.4 overs to spare, thanks to Haris’ unbeaten 107 off 46 balls, studded with seven sixes and eight fours. His knock—Pakistan’s first T20I century by a non-opener—came off just 45 deliveries and showcased a relentless display of power-hitting, especially in front of the 29,000-plus crowd at Gaddafi Stadium.
Earlier, Bangladesh posted their highest T20I total against Pakistan, 196 for 6, with Parvez Hossain Emon and Tanzid Hasan adding 110 runs for the opening stand. Emon struck a quickfire 66 off 34 balls, while Tanzid chipped in with 42 off 32. But Pakistan’s bowlers, led by Shaheen Afridi (2 for 26), tightened the screws in the final overs, conceding only 46 in the last five.
Despite the early loss of Sahibzada Farhan, Haris and Saim Ayub (45 off 29) counterattacked with flair, putting the chase firmly on track. Ayub fell to Tanzim Hasan, but Hasan Nawaz’s 13-ball 26 kept the momentum going. Haris reached his century in the 17th over with a two, and Salman Agha hit the winning runs soon after, capping off an emphatic performance that underlined Pakistan’s aggressive new approach in T20Is.
