Welcome to my bedroom and hallway! They are not finished (the hallway curtain is probably some polyester and the colour makes no sense 😅, there should be more stuff in the bedroom... etc) and definitely not perfect but I am still proud of how everything turned out.
I focused on health, sustainability and on creating spaces that I enjoyed. I have never felt at home anywhere nor was I allowed to paint and pick exactly what I wanted. This is the first time that I can ever do it.
It's only because Sebastian and I combined our interior design budgets. Even then, the whole thing was only a couple of hundred euros, including the bed, bedsheets, cupboards... The budget is TINY for a full bedroom.

To me, places, where humans live, should follow some principles: biophilic design, holistic approach, sustainability and durability, functionality and aesthetics. In that order.

Often times we cut corners & prioritise aesthetics instead of focusing on the function of the space and the health of the people who live there. Sometimes I see people's nurseries and get so shocked at what they think is appropriate to surround a baby/an infant with! So much freaking plastic and forever chemicals that will leech into the baby's body and create nasty health issues later on...
If not neurological, there will be hormonal issues, growth issues, mental development issues... etc. If you read this and plan on having kids, please research their bedrooms properly!!!
