For those of us who spent our adolescence watching the famous and beloved series "Lupin III" on TV, we certainly won't forget this song, which we sang after school. MYTHICAL!!!

This single became famous for being the first theme song for the Italian version of the anime "The Adventures of Lupin III," the first animated series based on the character from Monkey Punch's manga.

The single tells the story of a group of aliens from Planet O whose favorite pastime is erotic practices. It may have been inspired by Pauline Réage's novel, "Histoire d'O"

The first 12" single was released in France in June 1979, where it met with little success. Shortly thereafter, the single was released in Italy as a 7" 45 rpm single by RCA Victor, cut into two parts due to its shorter running time. However, a 12" single was also released with a standard cover with a center hole. The B-side features the instrumental backing track.

It's likely from this edition that television producers borrowed the song to use it as the Italian theme song for the anime The Adventures of Lupin III, which aired on local TV networks that same year. The song's subject matter had nothing to do with the story of the animated series, but despite this, it still enjoyed success thanks to the popularity of the cartoon.

Per chi come me ha vissuto la sua adolescenza guardando in TV la famosa e adorata serie "Lupin III" non può sicuramente dimenticare questo brano che accompagnava i pomeriggi dopo la scuola. MITICO!!!

Questo singolo divenne famoso per essere stato la prima sigla dell'edizione italiana dell'anime Le avventure di Lupin III, la prima serie animata del personaggio del manga di Monkey Punch.

Il singolo narra di un gruppo di alieni giunti dal Pianeta O, il cui passatempo preferito sono le pratiche erotiche e potrebbe essere stato scritto ispirandosi al romanzo "Histoire d'O" di Pauline Réage.

La prima pubblicazione in 12” avvenne in Francia nel giugno del 1979, dove riscosse poco successo. Pochissimo tempo dopo, il singolo venne pubblicato in Italia in formato 7” a 45 giri dalla RCA Victor, tagliato in due parti a causa della durata più breve del disco. Venne comunque pubblicato anche il 12" con copertina standard forata al centro. Il lato B presenta la base strumentale.

Probabilmente è da questa edizione che i produttori televisivi presero la canzone per adoperarla come sigla italiana dell'anime Le avventure di Lupin III, che fu trasmesso nei circuiti di TV locali in quello stesso anno. È un dato di fatto che l'argomento del brano non c'entrasse affatto con la storia della serie animata, ma nonostante questo non mancò di riscuotere successo proprio grazie alla popolarità del cartone animato.
