Is it possible to 3D print an electric motor at home?
In this video, we go through the entire process from start to finish. We'll cover:
Designing and 3D printing the axial flux stator and rotor.
Winding the six copper coils.
Assembling a custom ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) on a breadboard.
Materials:
3D printer,
some magnets
and a large amount of copper wire.
This isn't a perfect tutorial, but a look at the process of making something complex from scratch, including the mistakes and lessons learned along the way.
