All about Odd Even plan

Описание: The OddEven plan was implemented in New Delhi on a trial run from January 1 to January 15 to curb the hazardous levels of air pollution. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal implemented the rule where odd-numbered cars would ply on odd-numbered dates and even-numbered would ply on even dates.

The plan was highly criticised for its lack of infrastructure and was bashed to be a whimsical move. However, the pollution levels have gone down in the past two weeks in New Delhi. Due to the OddEven plan, highly congestive roads were also seen emptier than usual.

Though the Supreme Court directed the Delhi government to continue the plan, Kejriwal has temporarily shelved the idea.
