To absolutely no one's surprise, Donald Trump and his lawyers just filed a request for a 30-day delay in the deadline to submit his brief in the appeal in his classified documents case.
What some folks did find surprising - Special Counsel Jack Smith did not oppose the delay. There are actually three reasons this way Smith's decisions not to oppose the delay makes sense, as this video discusses.
