Canoe, German Shepherd, Little Pee Dee 20260117 0930: A peaceful estuary canoe trip, minimal dialog

Introspection = Thor (my German Shepherd) and I have been hoping to get back in the canoe for months. A camping trip down south and good weather in the morning finally gives us the chance. This is alligator country, and we are paddling in wet lands. It is January and the gators do not seem to be active, if they saw us, we did not see them.

There is very light cloud cover at the start of the day. The sun light gives the trees wonderful opportunities to reflect on the water. When we get out of the main river channel, you get the real feel of a forested swamp.

There is a pretty good current, which I attributed to the tide going out.

My silent paddle technique is a bit rusty, and the canoe is a bit creaky. For the most part those are the loudest non natural sounds. (there is a distant airplane or two)

The location is far away from civilization.
