Описание: The Sishanling iron ore mine has proven iron ore reserves of 2.5 billion tonnes with an average content of about 31 % iron. They are suitable for large-scale mining due to the concentrated ore body and its uniform distribution. It is the largest proven and registered iron ore deposit in China, with a long-term planned mining capacity of 30 million tonnes/year. The initial target is 15 million tonnes/year over the next five years. In 2016, the project was included in the "13th Five-Year Plan" of the Ministry of Science and Technology and declared a demonstration mine for the research and application of deep resource exploitation theory and technology.

After the client and the design institute had initially planned a total of three production shafts in order to be able to mine a total of 15 million tonnes/year in the first step, the concept was optimised to two shafts with 7.5 million tonnes/year each after intensive consultation with SIEMAG TECBERG. For the transport of personnel and machinery, an additional service shaft with a total of two service machines will be sunk.

The overall concept thus provides for a total of three conveyor systems in the first step: A double-skip production plant in the production shaft as a 6.75 m 6-rope machine, as well as a basket counterweight plant for personnel and machine transport as a 6 m 6-rope machine and a smaller basket counterweight plant for emergencies as a 4 m 4-rope machine in the service shaft. At the beginning of 2017, these systems were awarded in a public bidding process, in which Tianjin SIEMAG TECBERG was able to prevail over international and local competitors for all of the three conveyor systems, not least due to the company's existing ability to integrate systems for very large, deep and complex shaft conveyor systems.
