Hello, at last, I finally bring you my remake of Crash Site.
I really like this track, It fits the level perfectly, To me, it sounds completely different to the rest of the OST. That's not to say that I don't think it fits, It just has a really different feel to it.
For this one, I wanted to make those low thud sounding drums punch through as they get buried by all the other instruments in the original. As with my remake of Combat Simulator, I couldn't find the original source of that weird vocal sound at the start, so I had to use the one from the extracted sound font. Its just a very specific sample, Infact, I do think it could even be a custom sample that Graeme edited on one of the synths back in the day.
I struggled a lot playing this level and heard that mission failed track one too many times. Ammo just really seemed to be an issue with me in these later levels.
I hope you enjoy this one. I can't wait to get started on the next track.
