In February 2004, I was maybe 7 weeks deep into my new job as a reporter when I got offered to go backstage when Smackdown came to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
I was about as green as possible, with only a dozen or so interviews under my belt, when suddenly the backstage agent started parading all these superstars into my little room for interviews. (Mysterio, JBL, Big Show, Brock Lesnar and more)
Guess you could say I was a little nervous.
Be kind, I know I'm not fantastic, but I got better. lol If you check out my other videos, years later I managed to interview many other superstars (which I'm much, more proud of) including Bret, Ted DiBiase, DDP, Jake, Dan Severn and lots more. PLUS I have rare footage of Kenny Omega winning a battle royal in my hometown bar back in 2005, me calling Bret (with a beard) on a call-in show back in 1995 and he verbally puts over Shawn Michaels HUGE, and a rare appearance of Shawn Michaels on the Canadian Home Shopping channel where the host tries for 60 mins to annoy him! So many wonderful forgotten moments.
