Kenya's President, Daniel arap Moi, was on Tuesday (16/9) endorsed unopposed by the ruling party as presidential candidate in upcoming elections.
Speaking to 4000 delegates at the Kenya African National Union (KANU) national delegates conference, the 74-year-old ruler said KANU was the only party that could unite Kenyans.
There was some muted criticism by delegates over the further postponement of long-overdue party polls which could have brought major changes ahead of elections.
