This video introduces the concept of an Ideal Gas from Theme B of the IB Physics SL & HL courses. Firstly, properties of a gas such as pressure, temperature and volume are discussed and the assumptions made for ideal gas behaviour are explained. How gases exert pressure through particle collisions is described, as is the relationship between pressure, particle speed and gas density. The concept of the mole is also discussed, along with how to determine the internal energy of an ideal gas.
