All other threats have been neutralized, and all other civilians secured. In a last ditch effort, the sole bad guy has taken a civilian hostage. A decision was made to split up. I would out-flank the perp, create a distraction, which would allow my partner to enter the room and take the kill shot.
Mission accomplished.
