Sunrise drone flight over York Beach, Maine, shot with the DJI Mavic Pro. Music is 'Memories of Blue', by Vangelis.
Sunrise was at 5:59, so I got down the beach 10 minutes before. Of course, DJI Go wasn't connecting and I had to restart everything a couple of times before I could get in the air. By the time I lifted off, the sun was already slightly above the horizon.
I had three fully charged batteries with me, giving me a total of 60 minutes of flight time. The light changes dramatically over the course of the hour after dawn, as does and the amount of human activity on the beach. The shots in the video aren't arranged chronologically.
I edited and color graded the video using DaVinci Resolve 14. I shoot in Cinelike, 24fps, auto settings (I've had some success shooting in manual mode, but I've ruing a lot of shots, too, so it's auto mode when I want to ensure I get decent footage).
