I imagine that Donnie would have noticed some things about Leo’s insecurities before the invasion, but wouldn’t have known fully what it meant for his self esteem because Leo hid it all so well behind his masks. Once he sacrificed himself, Donnie finally put it all together… and understood the full emotional weight of it all. ❤️🩹
(PS, I’m getting better at freehanding these guys! That last panel was drawn completely on my own with no references!) 😁✨
