Health and Adult Social Care staff from across our Integrated Care System have been attending The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities and Autism.
Since our Tier 2 face-to-face training was rolled out in October 2023, we have delivered 88 sessions, training a total of 2831 clinical, social care and patient facing staff. We have also employed 10 Expert with Lived Experience Co-Trainers who, in conjunction with our Lead Trainer and Training Facilitators, deliver the training whilst bringing their own experiences and reflections to the day.
We recently attended a Tier 2 session and spoke to two of our Co-Trainers, Daniel and Adam, about their role. We also spoke with one of the delegates, Helen, about what she took from the training.
