Описание: Woodlot Regeneration: Strategies to Grow Trees and Limit Deer Impacts. Deer and interfering vegetation are the primary barriers to successful regeneration of your woods. This presentation will discuss the ecological features necessary for regeneration, the reasons to be concerned, likely causes of problems, silvicultural systems for regeneration and strategies to limit the barriers. Special attention will be given to a new technology developed at Cornell’s Arnot Forest, slash walls. Presented by Peter Smallidge, Department of Natural Resources, Cornell University and co-authored by Brett Chedzoy, Regional Extension Forester Schuyler County.
