P0113 – Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor 1 Circuit High Input
The P0113 code indicates that your vehicle’s Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is reporting a voltage that is too high, meaning the ECM (Engine Control Module) thinks the incoming air is hotter than it actually is. This sensor helps the engine adjust fuel delivery and ignition timing based on air temperature.
Common Causes:
Faulty IAT sensor
Damaged wiring or connectors
Intake air leaks
Failed ECM (rare)
Symptoms:
Check Engine Light (CEL) is on
Poor fuel economy
Rough idling or engine hesitation
Hard starting in extreme temperatures
Fixes:
