Clinical practice guidelines (CPG) are a fundamental resource to aid providers with decision making and enhance the provision of effective, high quality mental health care. This webinar will provide a summary of the psychotherapy recommendations in the 2023 VA/DoD CPG’s for treating PTSD in adults. Dr. Keyes will provide an overview of the individual, trauma-focused psychotherapies strongly recommended over pharmacological interventions: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). New relevant research findings and clinical resources for each psychotherapy will be highlighted.
