vogles On The Trail - Voglesang to Merced Lake

The most amazing hike! We’ve been dreaming of this trail for a few years. Yosemite National Park, High Sierra Loop Trail.
Morning sunlight lit up the mountains as we enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfast at the backpackers camp ground in Voglesang. Clouds rolled in as we packed up and left camp. We hiked through rain and afternoon thunderstorms all the way to Merced Lake. We did not see a single person on trail the entire day until we reached camp. Beautiful views of Yosemite. The rangers at Merced Lake answered all of our questions, helping us plan our next days journey, and we had the best night sleep yet.
