The Moueix estate, guided by the iconic Christian Moueix, yields some of the finest Bordeaux wines in the world. We visited with Christian's son Edouard last summer, touring the vineyards, winery and cellars and tasting three of their wines.
After tasting the Belaire Monange, that you can view here, we turned our palates to the Chateau Hosanna, a towering blend of 70% Merlot and 30 Cabernet Franc. As you may recall, the '09 vintage was one of the tops in the last few decades with the wine sporting stunning flavors of blackberry, plum, fig, tobacco, sweet notes of forest floor, graphite and truffles. This is just a gorgeous wine, so smooth and full, and one that should age well for at least the the next two decades.
