Jay Bruce responds to Mat Latos' comments

Описание: GOODYEAR, Ariz. (Mike Berk) -- There was no shortage of activity on Wednesday at the Reds' complex in Goodyear. Homer Bailey, coming off September surgery, announced he will not be ready for opening day. Joey Votto gave his annual "State of Joey Votto address." Then there was Jay Bruce. The Reds' right fielder and Miami Marlins pitcher Mat Latos will likey not be having dinner together any time soon. He slammed the Reds' former pitcher for his comments about the organization last week. Other players have expresed their displeasure with Latos' comments, but Bruce did so in a manner that left no doubt. "Honestly, the day Mat was traded was the day I had the pleasure of not worrying about Mat anymore," Bruce said. "The things he said about our team, training staff and the people that are heading this organization couldn't be further from the truth. I've been here since 2005 and there has been a standard the entire time."
